Luci began teaching at the beginning of 2019 and quickly found her niche with toddlers! Approaching big feelings with composure and guiding young children through their emotions with self-regulation skills quickly became her favorite part of the job. Born and raised in Washington state, she learned to appreciate outdoor experiences in all weather and is always seeking opportunities to incorporate natural elements in classroom projects. She is a big believer in “school families” and building a sense of community. In her free time, she enjoys grabbing her camera and heading off on road trips. Thor’s Well is her favorite destination and her mom is her favorite traveling companion! When she’s not exploring, she enjoys reading, baking, re-watching old favorite movies, and spending time with family.

Originally from Hawaii, Patti received her BS in Natural Science from Puget Sound University. She worked as a Camp Naturalist at YMCA Camp Seymour where she taught environmental education classes to students K-6th grade. After time in New York to continue her career in the outdoor education field, she returned to the PNW to become a formal educator for Early Childhood Education, finding an interdisciplinary balance between traditional classroom programs and experiential field class programs. In her free time, Patti loves going on hikes, spending time in or on the water, ziplining, and hula dancing.
